Nigerian Intl and former U20 Star, Chukwuma Akabueze says he still relishes the option of returning to the Super Eagles fold.
The Umraniyespor forward who has played two matches for the Super Eagles against Kenya and Uganda stated this while engaging with journalists in Nigeria online football forum, Let Gist Naija.
“If I get the opportunity to return to the Super Eagles. I’d grab it with both ends. Although I know it’s difficult but I’ll keep working hard to make the cut”, the man called Bentley stated.
Bentley is incredibly skillful and is a defender’s worst nightmare. With some of the quickest feet I think I’ve ever seen, he makes beating a player look easy, with nutmegs and ball rolls a trademark of his game.
He is also lightning fast and leaves most defenders in the dust, while he is also able to move through the gears quickly, going from a standing start to top speed in the blink of an eye.
His ability to combine his skill and pace all at once is frightening, running at frantically backpedalling defenders before making the ball disappear past them as they look to tackle him, often leaving them spinning in confusion or flat on the ground.
Akabueze was a member of the Nigerian team that took part in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada in which they were eliminated in the quarter-final by Chile.
He lists Kwara United, Odd BK, SK Brann, Wuhan Zall and Boluspor as his former clubs.
